![]() The split chest reveals lungs which have been repurposed and expanded to make and spew bile bombs. The host legs and waist are intact albeit covered in blood, the host arms are also intact, having been repurposed to hold open the chest. This new design is a little more gruesome as the upper back has ripped open for new bladed arms made entirely of mutated flesh along with exposed ribs. Their Dead Space 2 counterpart not only has an entirely new model, but utilizes its spitting feature more and will not hesitate to bombarde the player. These ones mostly rely on close quarters combat and will only spit if their route to the player is blocked. The only major modifications to the host's body are the blades protruding from their hands, flesh hanging from their arms and head having ripped from the body and connected by a new pink, fleshy neck. Their green toned uniforms remain intact and they are the least mutilated looking Slasher. In Dead Space, like the later installments, the Spitters are female. Overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5.Like male Slashers, Spitters have large, bladed arms protruding from their shoulders, along with their intact original arms. For the price I would have liked to have seen more in the figure, perhaps a smaller secondary figure such as a crawler or such. The paint job seems kind of harsh but overall it is a good try and you do see details that you don't see in the game such as the back of the creatures. The figure also features an interesting and mildly amusing ability for you to remove the limbs from the figure to replicate dismembering it like in the game. Articulation is really good for a NECA figure and shows that they've decided to stop making statue-like figures. Detail is pretty good for a figure this scale but it could have been way better. ![]() The figure features a version of a slasher that is missing its lower jaw. The figure seems slightly small as the ones in the game tend to be taller than Isaac with longer limbs. This one represents the basic version with the long blades coming out of its wrists and the extra arms coming from its stomach. Dead Space 2 (Neca)One of the most common enemies in the Dead Space game series is the Slasher type Necromorph and its variants. ![]()
